Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uztelecom has upgraded 1,566 mobile base stations and commissioned an additional 380 across Uzbekistan under its mobile network development programme for 2025–2026, completing 104% of its modernisation plan as of 18 October, the company said.

The work covered the Republic of Karakalpakstan, all 12 regions of Uzbekistan and the city of Tashkent.

The equipment upgrades are intended to increase network capacity and improve its ability to serve a growing number of users.

The commissioning of new base stations is expected to expand coverage and improve access to mobile communications in areas where existing infrastructure is insufficient.

In addition, 375 Uztelecom base stations support 5G technology. According to the company, these stations are present in every region of the country.

The development of mobile infrastructure is aimed at improving connectivity for everyday calls, work, education and the use of online services.
