Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held at the Ministry of Justice with the participation of the Chairman of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on Women and Gender Equality, advisers of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, directors of international consulting organizations, policy coordinator of the Woman in Bussines CA program (WIBCA).

During the meeting, issues of increasing the knowledge, qualifications and practical skills of heads of ministries and departments on assessing the impact of regulation of normative legal acts and their projects on the basis of a gender approach were discussed.

It should be noted that this procedure has been used in international practice since the 1960s. Today it works effectively in over 60 countries, including the UK, Denmark, France, Germany, USA, Russia and Kazakhstan.

The main purpose of applying this procedure is to create a high-quality and balanced regulatory framework of the state. That is, the adoption of legislative acts will be ensured without unnecessary costs and time, paperwork, bureaucratic barriers.
