Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit South Korea on 13–16 September for a state visit at the invitation of South Korean President Lee Jae Myung.
In Seoul, Mirziyoyev will hold talks with Lee Jae Myung in both restricted and expanded formats. He is also scheduled to meet National Assembly Speaker Cho Jung-sik, Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, and the heads of major South Korean companies and financial institutions.
The two sides will discuss further strengthening and expanding the special strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and South Korea, deepening cooperation in priority areas and expanding cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
As part of the visit, Mirziyoyev will attend the first Central Asia–Republic of Korea Summit. Participants will discuss prospects for cooperation in trade, investment, infrastructure, digital transformation, science and technology, and other areas.
The summit is expected to conclude with the adoption of the Seoul Declaration.
