Over 5.3 Million Foreign Tourists Visited Uzbekistan in January–May
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Between January and May 2026, a total of 5,351,868 foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes. According to official data from the National Statistics Committee, the geography of inbound tourism during the reporting period covered 203 countries, underscoring the rapid strengthening of the republic's tourism profile on the international stage.
The statistical report released by the agency provides a detailed gender and age breakdown of the inbound tourist flow. Men accounted for the majority of arrivals, totaling 2,974,327 people, while the number of women who visited the republic stood at 2,377,541.
Adults in their prime working years formed the most active age group among the foreign guests. The distribution of travelers by age category is as follows: the largest share consisted of tourists aged 31 to 55, reaching 2,791,843 people.
Senior citizens aged 56 and older ranked second in numbers, with 1,083,688 arrivals. The youth segment aged 19 to 30 accounted for 892,166 people, while the number of minor tourists aged 18 and under was recorded at 584,171.
