Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — In January 2026, a total of 244,400 citizens of Tajikistan visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes, according to the National Statistics Committee.
The figure represents an increase of 43,400 people, or 21.6%, compared with the same period last year.
Most Tajik visitors traveled to Uzbekistan to visit relatives, totaling 208,500 people. Another 13,300 visited for leisure travel, while 17,400 came on business trips.
Additionally, 3,800 citizens arrived for medical treatment, 809 for commercial purposes, and 483 for study.
