Over 1.6 million Uzbeks traveled abroad in Q1 2026
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — More than 1.63 million citizens of Uzbekistan traveled abroad for tourism purposes in January–March 2026, according to the National Statistics Committee.
The total number of outbound trips reached 1,631,234, an increase of 111,600 compared to the same period last year, indicating continued growth in international travel activity among the population.
Statistical data shows that the majority of trips were made to neighboring countries. Kyrgyzstan remained the most visited destination, receiving 660,579 Uzbek tourists. It was followed by Kazakhstan with 284,024 visits and Tajikistan with 282,040 visits.
Other popular destinations included Saudi Arabia, Russia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, China, Thailand, and Egypt. During the reporting period, 136,060 citizens traveled to Saudi Arabia, 88,267 to Russia, 52,199 to Turkey, 28,125 to the UAE, 15,844 to China, 13,839 to Thailand, and 12,186 to Egypt.
The data reflects a steady increase in outbound tourism from Uzbekistan, as well as a gradual diversification of travel destinations beyond the region’s immediate neighbors.
