Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan midfielder Otabek Shukurov has signed an agreement with Serbian club Radnik Surdulica. The club’s press service announced the signing of the 28-year-old footballer on 2 October.

Shukurov will join the team as a free agent. According to the club, the footballer has already completed the necessary procedures to begin working with his new teammates.

Radnik Surdulica competes in the Serbian SuperLiga. After 10 rounds of the championship, the team is sixth in the standings with 14 points.

The Serbian club has yet to lose at home this season.

Shukurov is expected to make his debut for the new team after the international break. One possible option is an away match against IMT from Loznica in the upcoming rounds of the championship.

Radnik plans to use the Uzbek midfielder’s experience in the centre of the field, including in organising attacks.

Shukurov had previously considered offers from other foreign clubs but will ultimately continue his career in the Serbian championship.

For the 28-year-old footballer, the move to Radnik Surdulica will mark a new stage in his club career and continue his involvement in European football.
