Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s representatives have won two silver medals at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games in Japan.
In the judo competition in the up to 73kg weight category, Shahram Akhadov reached the final, where he lost to a representative of the United Arab Emirates. Following the decisive bout, the Uzbek judoka took second place and claimed the silver medal.
Another silver medal for Uzbekistan was won by Alisher Ganiev in Greco-Roman wrestling. Competing in the up to 60kg weight category, he also reached the final, where he lost to a representative of Kyrgyzstan.
Akhadov and Ganiev have thus added two more silver medals to Uzbekistan’s medal tally at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games.
