Number of population employed in Uzbek economy makes up 13.289 million people
Number of employed population in state sector made up 18.1% from total number of employed (18.3% in 2015) and non-governmental sector – 81.9% (81.7%).
About 77.8% of population are employed in small entrepreneurship in nine months of 2016 against 77.5% in January-September 2015.
A significant increase in the number of employees is observed in such economic activities as the transportation and storage (3.8%), accommodation and food services (3.7%), information and communication (by 3.4%), construction (3 3%) and trade (2.8%).
By types of economic activity share of employed in agriculture, forestry and fisheries reached to 27.5%, industry - 13.6%, trade - 10.4%, construction - 9.7%, education - 8.3%.
The employment rate of the economically active population made up 94.9%, while the unemployment rate was 5.1%.
