Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Starting from 1 October 2025, a new procedure for acquiring so-called “vanity” car license plates has come into effect in Uzbekistan. These plates can now be obtained through the Safe Road YHXX mobile application.
The service costs 7 million soums for individuals (17 times the basic calculation value) and 10.3 million soums for legal entities (25 times the basic calculation value).
At the initial stage, the system includes license plates of the first, second, and third categories, which were previously offered at auction but remained unsold.
From 1 January 2026, vehicle owners will be able to independently select any combination of letters and numbers and purchase a plate after paying the established fee.
