Mingeo and Navoiyuran Discuss Itochu Corporation Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the management of the Navoiyuran State Enterprise, held an official meeting with a delegation from the Japanese general trading company Itochu Corporation.

The negotiations, led by Minister Bobir Islamov, took place within the framework of the fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum (TMIF-2026).

Representatives of the Japanese side highly praised the organization of the large-scale forum, noting its significance as a reputable platform bringing together leading international experts and top management from major foreign companies.

The primary subject of the discussion was reviewing the outcomes of current interaction and detailed discussions on the prospects for expanding long-term bilateral cooperation in the mining and geological sectors.

Given the participation of the specialized state enterprise Navoiyuran in the talks, the parties paid special attention to the implementation of new investment projects and attracting Japanese capital into the extraction and processing sector of strategic raw materials.

Following the dialogue, the partners confirmed their mutual interest in deepening industrial ties and outlined steps for the practical development of the discussed technological initiatives.
