Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- At a meeting of the Legislative Chamber, a draft law on regulating relations in the field of energy saving, rational use and increasing energy efficiency was approved in the first reading.
The document consists of 16 chapters and 65 articles covering various aspects of this topic, including basic terms and concepts, requirements for compliance with legislation, and responsibility for the insufficient use of energy resources.
The bill defines the subjects and objects of energy saving, and also formulates the basic principles and goals of its introduction. Particular attention is paid to improving the principles of energy saving and increasing energy efficiency in various sectors of the economy, including construction, transport, heat supply, utilities, agriculture and water management.
Article 8 of the draft law defines specific requirements for the energy efficiency of buildings and structures, as well as obligations to conduct energy audits and implement energy saving measures. Deputies actively discussed various aspects of the bill and received detailed answers to questions from its initiators.
The adoption of this bill contributes to further optimization of energy costs, creation of a legal framework for systemic control over the efficiency of energy consumption and reduction of energy losses.
