Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — By order of the Minister of Health of Uzbekistan, Kaya Sedat has been appointed Director of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Center of Oncology and Radiology.
Kaya Sedat received his medical degree from Ankara University and went on to complete undergraduate studies in Business Administration at Anadolu University and Healthcare Management at Atatürk University. He later earned a master’s degree in Healthcare Management from Sakarya University.
From 2011 to 2018, Sedat held various positions at Sakarya University Clinical Hospital and the Regional State Hospitals Association, also serving as Vice President and Head of the Sakarya Health Directorate.
As director, Sedat will be responsible for raising Uzbekistan’s oncology service to international standards, introducing modern management practices, applying advanced global experience in diagnostics and treatment, expanding screening programs, integrating artificial intelligence and innovative technologies, ensuring full digitalization for transparency, developing medical tourism, enhancing the qualifications of young specialists, and supporting scientific research.
