Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 15 September, an online meeting was held between the Uzbekistan–Moldova and Moldova–Uzbekistan interparliamentary cooperation groups. This was reported by the press service of Uzbekistan’s parliament.

The participants discussed prospects for developing interparliamentary cooperation and strengthening existing ties between the two countries.

Particular attention was paid to increasing the activity of the interparliamentary groups, expanding interaction between parliamentary committees, and exchanging experience in lawmaking and parliamentary oversight.

The meeting also highlighted the need to expand trade and economic ties, identify new areas of cooperation and exchange best practices in agriculture.

The sides separately discussed youth policy, education, support for women and gender equality. The participants also considered the exchange of experience and development of cooperation in culture and the arts, sports and tourism.
