Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed a gastronomic tourism street established in the Urikzor mahalla of Andijan. The project was implemented along Mashrab and Sarikuy streets and is designed to serve more than 10,000 residents and tourists per day, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reported.
The total cost of the project is 18 billion soums. Of this amount, 8 billion soums was allocated from the republican budget, while entrepreneurs invested another 10 billion soums.
The new tourist street stretches for 1.2 km. It features spacious and safe pedestrian and cycling paths, modern landscaping, fountains and lighting elements.
Selfie zones, open-air sports grounds, ecological areas for children and family recreation zones have also been created for visitors.
The street is home to 35 commercial facilities, where 30 business entities provide services around the clock. The project has created 100 new jobs.
The head of state toured the new gastronomic street and spoke with local residents and entrepreneurs.
