Karakalpakstan’s GRP increases by 7.7% in Jan-Jun

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Gross regional product (GRP) of Karakalpakstan Republic rose by 7.7% in the first six months of 2010.

Industrial output of Karakalpakstan grew by 6.2%, consumer goods production – by 5.6%, construction works – 9.1%, trade and catering – 16.9% and service – 12.4%.

The exports volume increased by 12.8% year-on-year, UzA reported. The volume of localized goods production made up 16.734 billion and its share in industrial output rose from 7.7% to 9%.
