Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Kamoliddin Mardonov has been appointed Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on economic policy. The relevant decree was signed by the President of Uzbekistan.

Prior to his new appointment, Mardonov served as First Deputy Head of the Department for Legal Expertise and Comprehensive Analysis of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He was relieved of this position in connection with his new appointment.

Mardonov replaces Obid Khakimov as presidential adviser on economic policy.

Khakimov, in turn, has been appointed Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for education reform. He has also been appointed rector of New Uzbekistan University on a concurrent basis and relieved of his position as presidential adviser on economic policy.
