Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Traffic has been restored at the intersection of Abay and Abdulla Kadyri streets in Tashkent after congestion formed, the Tashkent Traffic Management Centre (TTMC) said.
The traffic difficulty was identified by operators of the Situation Centre of the Tashkent city Traffic Management Centre during monitoring of the transport situation.
The cause of the congestion was a significant accumulation of cars making a left turn from Abay street.
Some of the vehicles occupied the intersection zone, which blocked traffic along Abdulla Kadyri street and led to further densification of the traffic flow.
A road patrol service officer was sent to the scene to regulate traffic promptly.
The congestion was cleared, after which traffic was restored and is currently running normally.
The intersection has additionally been added to the list of sections under monitoring by the TSODD Situation Centre.
The traffic situation in this section will be tracked on an ongoing basis to allow a timely response if difficulties arise again.
