Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Obid Khakimov has been appointed Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for education reform. The relevant decree was signed by the President of Uzbekistan.
Khakimov has also been appointed rector of New Uzbekistan University.
In connection with his new appointment, he was relieved of his position as Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on economic policy.
He replaced Ilhom Sirajev, who was appointed Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Uzbekistan for compliance and internal anti-corruption control.
