Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan will establish a special working group under the Presidential Administration to develop a national concept for a strategy on human capital development and lifelong education.

The group will be established as part of new approaches to developing the education system outlined by President of Uzbekistan when signing the decree establishing the Ministry of Education and Science.

The working group will focus on preparing a concept that takes into account labour market needs, contributes to improving the quality of education, promotes competition and expands private-sector participation in the sector.

Entrepreneur Zafar Khashimov will lead the group on a voluntary basis.

The group is expected to include entrepreneurs with experience in establishing educational institutions and effective education systems, relevant specialists, academics and international experts.

The establishment of the working group is intended to ensure the participation of representatives of the business community, academia and relevant experts in developing approaches to human capital development and the lifelong education system.
