GM Uzbekistan produces 177,098 vehicles in Jan-Nov 2008

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- GM Uzbekistan, an Uzbek-US carmaker, increased car output by 11.1% year-on-year to 177,098 vehicles in January-November 2008.

In the reporting period, the Uzbek car maker (former UzDaewoo Auto) manufactured 87,280 Nexia cars (up 11.5%), 63,636 Matiz cars (up 8.2%) and 22,230 Damas mini buses (up 14.3%).

Last year, the venture produced 171,809 vehicles in 2007 or up 22.7% compared to 2006. The company exported 109,500 vehicles (up 32.7%)in 2007.
