GM Uzbekistan increases car output by 3.6% in Jan-Mar

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- GM Uzbekistan JV CJSC increased car production by 3.6% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2010 to 42,712 units, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

The enterprise increased production of Nexia car model by 3.1% year-on-year to 18,310 in January-March 2010.

The growth of production of Matiz and Damas models made up 3.3% and 1.7% to 14,280 and 4,445 units respectively in the reporting period.

The enterprise also manufactured 4,511 Lacetti cars (+48.8%), 360 Captiva cars (-35.5%) and 806 Epica cars (+43.4%) in January-March 2010.
