Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- On 7 March, Chairperson of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan and Chairperson of the National Commission of UNESCO Gayane Umerova met with Anthony Kwaku Ohemeng-Boamah, Assistant Director General of UNESCO.
Aspects of preparation for the 43rd session of the General Conference of UNESCO were discussed, including the tasks and scope of work of all parties.
A working group led by Ohemeng-Boam arrived in Uzbekistan on 4 March to study preparatory work for the 43rd session, scheduled for 2025 in Samarkand.
The visit included an assessment of the meeting rooms, logistics and infrastructure. Preparatory work for the session in 2025 is being carried out in full.
