French engineering firm MND advances Chimgan mountain resort development

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) —The Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, Abdulaziz Akkulov, held a working meeting with Xavier Gallot-Lavallée, the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the French industrial group Montagne et Neige Développement (MND).

The two parties discussed the ongoing execution of the project to create the Chimgan all-season international resort, alongside broader strategies for expanding bilateral cooperation within the mountain tourism sector.

The primary focus of the negotiations was directed toward the construction progress of the resort's modern tourism infrastructure. Within the framework of the project, the French industrial company is supplying complete engineering equipment and participating directly in building the key facilities of the complex.

Specifically, operations are underway for the construction of cable cars and ropeways, the installation of automated artificial snowmaking systems, the erection of avalanche protection structures, and the creation of modern tourist amusement attractions.

During the session, the sides emphasized the vital importance of finalizing the project within the established deadlines, maintaining high quality standards during construction, and forming a modern resort complex at Chimgan that fully meets international requirements.

Additionally, the officials evaluated the possibility of attracting experienced international hospitality and resort management companies to operate the complex once it is commissioned and entered into exploitation.

Following the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to developing practical partnership initiatives aimed at expanding mountain, family, sports, and wellness tourism verticals within Uzbekistan.
