Uzbekistan Exports Reach US$17.1 Billion in Seven Months
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan's total exports reached US$17.1 billion in the first seven months of 2026, reaching 132 percent of the volume recorded during the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan.
Domestic products were delivered to 120 countries between January and July 2026, with Uzbek exporters expanding into five new foreign markets. The new destination markets include Sudan, Zimbabwe, Cambodia, Honduras, and Mauritius. The main drivers of export growth were shipments of textiles, fruit and vegetable products, jewelry, construction materials, food items, and electrical goods.
Concurrently, the ministry and relevant agencies continue providing support to domestic exporters and promoting Uzbek goods abroad. Over the seven-month period, 1,141 business entities received financial support through the Trade Promotion Fund. As part of pre-export financing mechanisms, US$136.5 million was allocated to 113 enterprises, facilitating subsequent product deliveries valued at US$1.53 billion.
Addressing operational challenges faced by exporters remains a core priority for trade authorities. From January through July 2026, dedicated export support centers reviewed 3,044 inquiries from business representatives, resolving 2,547 of them positively, representing an 84 percent resolution rate. The ministry is continuing its efforts to diversify export geography, boost the export of high-value-added goods, and refine state support mechanisms for commercial enterprises.
