French delegation pays visit to Shahrisabz

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of France to Uzbekistan Francois Gauthier and delegation of the General Council of Dordogne Department of France paid a visit to Shahrisabz city of Kashkadarya region on 2-3 December 2011.

The visit was aimed at holding with local authorities and discussing terms of implementation of the French-Uzbek project on rehabilitation of square of Aq-Saray Palace of Amir Temur.

The envoy and the delegation of led by advisor of the Department Georges Colas were welcomed by governor of Shahrisabz Mr. Hidirov and representatives of culture department.

The guests visited Aq-Saray and determined future stages of the project, which is financed by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of France and Dordogne Department.
