Ferghana Reviews Agro-Export Project Development
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Deputy Hokim of Ferghana Region Nuriddin Mamazhonov held a meeting with representatives of the joint venture “Beshagro Smakarol,” being implemented in Besharyk district with the participation of investors from Belarus, Latvia, and Poland.
The enterprise specializes in the processing, drying, packaging, and export of fruit products.
During the talks, investors provided detailed information on the current stage of project implementation, production capacities, export opportunities, and expected economic results.
According to the plans, the enterprise will process and dry fresh fruit and also produce chocolate products based on fruit ingredients.
A significant increase in employment is expected: the number of jobs will grow from 50 to 200, while home-based employment is projected to reach 500 people. The main export market for finished products is expected to be European countries.
The sides highlighted the importance of the project for regional economic development, job creation, and strengthening export potential.
It was confirmed that the Ferghana regional administration will provide support and practical assistance to accelerate the launch of the enterprise.
