China Company Plans US$30 Million Electrical Project in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Authorities of Akhangaran District discussed with Chinese company Jiangsu Yiershi Group the implementation of a US$30 million investment project to establish production of electrical equipment, the Tashkent Region khokimiyat said.

The talks with representatives of the Chinese company were held by Akhangaran District khokim Bakhrom Norkobilov. During the meeting, the sides reviewed the parameters of the project, which envisages the establishment of a new industrial facility in the district.

The project includes the production of high- and low-voltage switchgear, transformer substations, electricity distribution equipment, as well as modern equipment for renewable energy facilities.

Representatives of Jiangsu Yiershi Group were provided with information about the investment potential of Akhangaran District and the conditions created for doing business. District authorities confirmed their readiness to provide investors with the necessary support at all stages of the project implementation.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to consider alternative land plots for the future production facility and continue joint efforts to implement the investment project.
