Davit Modzmanashvili wins bronze medal in Asian Games

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Freestyle wrestler Davit Modzmanashvili won another Asian Games medal for Uzbekistan, the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan said in a statement.

In the weight category of 125 kg, the Uzbek athlete defeated rivals from Indonesia, Mongolia during the bouts and reached the semifinals. In the semifinal bout, Modzmanashvili lost to Iran’s wrestler.

Further, in a duel for the bronze award, the Uzbek wrestler defeated Indian athlete with the score of 2:0.

Uzbekistan won seven medals of the Asian Games in Indonesia. At the moment, Uzbekistan has 1 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals.
