Uzbekistan cement production rises to 6.5 million tons

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Large industrial enterprises in the Republic of Uzbekistan demonstrated a significant increase in the production of building materials.

According to official data from the National Statistics Committee, 6.5 million tons of cement were produced in the country between January and April 2026. The current production figure indicates a significant expansion of the capacities of the domestic industrial sector.

Compared to the same period last year, the production volumes of this building material increased by almost 1.7 million tons. This positive dynamic confirms a steady upward trend observed in the republic's industrial complex over the past few years.

The statistics agency presented detailed comparative data on cement production volumes by large plants for the first four months of the current and previous years. During the reporting period of January to April 2024, 4.5 million tons of cement were manufactured in Uzbekistan.

Subsequently, during the same four months of 2025, the production figure increased moderately to 4.8 million tons, preceding the record growth recorded this year.
