Presidents of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan Discuss Strategic Partnership

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, held a telephone conversation on 24 June 2026, during which they emphasized the importance of further deepening the strategic partnership and alliance between the two countries.

The leaders noted with satisfaction the high dynamics of practical cooperation, primarily in the fields of trade, industrial cooperation, energy, transport, environmental protection, agriculture, and water management.

Particular attention was paid to active exchanges at all levels. The heads of state welcomed the close interaction between the presidential administrations of the two countries, which contributes to the timely implementation of the reached agreements and enriches the partnership agenda with new joint projects and initiatives.

During the conversation, Mirziyoyev and Tokayev also exchanged views on topical issues of regional policy and reviewed the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events.
