China grants US$500,000 to Uzbekistan to eliminate earthquake aftermath

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of China adopted decision to provide no-string aid for US$500,000 to Uzbekistan to eliminate earthquake aftermath in Ferghana Valley.

As reported earthquake, powerful earthquake has been registered near border of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan on 20 July 2011.

The earthquake damaged some buildings in Rishtan, Bagdad and Uzbekistan districts of Ferghana region, eastern Uzbekistan.

As a result, 13 people died, and 86 were provided with emergency medical aid, while 35 of them were hospitalized.
