Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The average age of Uzbekistan’s population stood at 29.5 years as of 1 January 2026, according to data from the National Statistics Committee.

The highest average population age was recorded in Tashkent, where the indicator reached 32.7 years. It was followed by the Bukhara region at 31.1 years and Tashkent region at 31 years.

Other regions with relatively high average ages include the Navoi region at 30.1 years, the Ferghana region at 30 years, and the Republic of Karakalpakstan at 29.8 years.

The average age in the Andijan and Khorezm regions was 29.5 years each, while it stood at 29 years in the Namangan region, 28.7 years in the Syrdarya region, and 28.5 years in the Samarkand region.

A younger age structure was observed in the Jizzakh region, where the average age was 28.4 years, the Kashkadarya region at 27.7 years, and the Surkhandarya region at 27.4 years.

Statistical data shows that the youngest population lives in the southern regions of the country, while the highest average age indicators are recorded in the capital and several central regions.
