Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Customs officers at "Tashkent – AERO" have prevented an attempt to illegally import a batch of mobile phones at the international airport in the capital.
According to law enforcement officials, a man was detained in the passenger meeting area after collecting 16 iPhone 16 Pro Max smartphones. These phones were brought in by several passengers on a flight from Jeddah, disguised as duty-free luggage.
The preliminary value of the seized devices is approximately 250 million soums. An investigation is currently underway, and all circumstances surrounding the incident are being determined.
