WHO chief amazed with art of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The World Health Organization (WHO) Margaret Chan, who arrived in Uzbekistan to participate at international symposium “National model of protection of maternal and child health in Uzbekistan: Healthy mother – healthy child”, was impressed with cultural diversity of Uzbekistan.

During her visit, Ms. Chan visited the Center of National Art of the Fund Forum, where she familiarized with art heritage, which produced by the best masters of Uzbekistan, Fund Forum said.

Margaret Chan said that art of Uzbekistan is diverse and original. Uzbek masters are talented and they have great test, she added.

The WHO head was impressed with textile saloon of the Center of National Art. She bought hand-made coat, which was made on traditional Bukhara patterns.
