Uztextileprom Association Signs Memorandum at EXPO-2026 in China
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation from the Uztextileprom Association participated in a cooperation meeting organized as part of the 9th China-Eurasia EXPO-2026 in the city of Urumqi.
On the sidelines of the international exhibition event, representatives of Uzbekistan held a series of bilateral meetings and negotiations with officials from government agencies, specialized industry associations, and major business communities of the People's Republic of China. The main topic of discussion was identifying promising directions for expanding cooperation in the textile sector.
During the visit, the Uzbek delegation organized targeted talks with the management of more than 30 Chinese textile companies. The parties focused on intensifying export-import operations, launching joint investment projects, and deepening production cooperation in the textile, garment, and knitwear industries.
The key practical result of participating in the international economic forum was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding. The document, aimed at the long-term development of mutually beneficial partnerships, was concluded between the Uztextileprom Association and the Committee of the First Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.
The interlocutors expressed confidence that the reached agreements will provide a new impetus to the joint investment and trade activities of the two countries.
