Uzbekistan Takes Part in Turkic States Competition Meeting

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation of Uzbekistan’s Competition Committee took part in the third meeting of heads of competition and antimonopoly authorities of member and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), held on 11–13 June in Shusha, Azerbaijan.

The event brought together heads of antimonopoly agencies from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Hungary, and Northern Cyprus. Participants discussed expanding cooperation within the OTS framework, promoting fair competition, and strengthening consumer protection.

The meeting served as an international platform for exchanging experience and discussing mutually beneficial areas of cooperation between competition authorities of participating countries.

Chairman of the Uzbekistan Competition Committee Khallilillo Turakhodjaev addressed the plenary session and panel discussions, presenting information on ongoing economic reforms and measures to develop a competitive environment in the “New Uzbekistan” under President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants signed a communiqué aimed at strengthening cooperation among antimonopoly authorities of OTS countries and further developing a competitive market environment.
