Uzbekistan Presents Investment Potential to Indian Business
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A roundtable dedicated to the development of investment and industrial cooperation between Uzbekistan and India was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in India, bringing together representatives of major Indian businesses.
Director of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency Abdulla Azizov attended the event as part of an Uzbek delegation led by Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov. The roundtable was co-organized with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
The discussion included Chairman of the CII International Council Vikramjit Singh Sahney, as well as executives and representatives of major Indian companies operating in pharmaceuticals, the chemical industry, the banking and financial sector, and other strategic industries.
Participants reviewed Uzbekistan's investment potential, ongoing reforms in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, as well as prospects for establishing high-value-added manufacturing, technology transfer, and implementing joint investment projects.
Following the meeting, Indian business representatives expressed interest in expanding investment activities in Uzbekistan, establishing joint ventures, and strengthening cooperation between the business communities of the two countries.
