China's SIETG to Launch Tourism and Education Projects in Kokand
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Ferghana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov held an official meeting with a delegation from the Chinese state-owned company Shaanxi International Economic and Trade Group Co., Ltd. (SIETG), led by Project Manager Pan Lei.
The negotiations took place at Kokand State University and focused on launching joint projects in education and tourism, as well as strengthening mutually beneficial interregional ties.
During the dialogue, the parties emphasized that the dynamic development of relations between Uzbekistan and China creates a solid foundation for forming new partnership vectors.
The meeting participants paid special attention to implementing promising initiatives within Kokand. Given the rich historical and cultural potential and high tourism capabilities of the ancient city, the sides reviewed specific project proposals to create specialized tourism streets. These measures aim to modernize urban infrastructure and increase the flow of foreign and domestic travelers.
Following the discussions, the parties recorded an agreement to transition to practical cooperation based on detailed plans.
