Uzbektelecom Posts Record Quarterly Profit Growth

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbektelecom, the joint-stock company, has recorded a historic financial result for the first quarter of 2026.

The company’s net profit amounted to 412.3 billion soums, compared with 25.7 billion soums in the same period of the previous year.

Over the past 12 months, net profit approached 1 trillion soums, reaching 977.4 billion soums. Retained earnings also reached a comparable level.

Gross profit in the first quarter increased from 852.6 billion to 1.16 trillion soums. A significant contribution to the financial result came from income from foreign exchange differences, which rose from 20.9 billion to 244.2 billion soums.

Interest expenses remained stable at around 133 billion soums. At the same time, the volume of long-term bank loans decreased from 7.0 trillion to 6.4 trillion soums.

According to the financial statements, the company’s assets reached 17.0 trillion soums, an increase of 29.8% year-on-year, while equity rose to 3.4 trillion soums, up 37.0%. Net revenue amounted to 2.8 trillion soums, growing by 12.5%.

Retained earnings increased more than 14 times, reaching 1.0 trillion soums. Profit over the last 12 months rose nearly 20 times compared to the previous year.
