Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — IT Park Uzbekistan and High Technologies Park Azerbaijan have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at supporting IT companies and startups from Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. The document was signed as part of ICT Week Uzbekistan 2026.
The sides agreed to cooperate in promoting technology companies from the two countries in new markets. As part of the cooperation, companies will receive infrastructure support, assistance in integrating into local technology ecosystems and support in establishing operations in new markets.
One area of cooperation will be the participation of Uzbek startups in the NEXUS program, with High Technologies Park Azerbaijan supporting opportunities for such participation. In turn, IT Park Uzbekistan will invite Azerbaijani startups to participate in the Land of Startups program, which is scheduled to launch in 2027.
Land of Startups will focus on international project founders and provide them with opportunities to develop their businesses in Uzbekistan, integrate into the local startup ecosystem and access new market opportunities.
The participation of Azerbaijani startups in the program is expected to expand technology exchange between the two countries and create additional opportunities for interaction among entrepreneurs.
The memorandum also covers cooperation in market-entry programs, technology transfer, commercialization of developments and the exchange of expertise.
The cooperation between IT Park Uzbekistan and High Technologies Park Azerbaijan is expected to strengthen ties between technology companies, startups and investors from the two countries.
