Uzbektelecom cuts internet prices for ISPs

Uzbektelecom joint stock company cut internet services (external channel) for internet service providers up to US$457 per 1 Mbps on 30 April 2012.
So, the company cut tariffs by 9.4% in 2012. Uzbektelecom decreased tariffs by nine times in 2011.
The price for 1 MB of Internet was US$849 in early 2011 and decreased to US$529 in December 2011.
In 2012, the company decreased prices four times. The price fell to US$500 per 1 Mbps on 20 January 2012and US$495 on 2 February 2012, to US$95 on 13 April and to US$457 on 30 April.
The operator said that the prices fell more than three times in last two years – from US$1,510 to US$475.
