Uzbekneftegaz, Schlumberger to expand digital cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekneftegaz and U.S. company Schlumberger discussed expanding technological cooperation, including digitalization, artificial intelligence and modern field management solutions, Uzbekneftegaz said.

Uzbekneftegaz Management Board Chairman Abdugani Sanginov held a meeting with a Schlumberger delegation led by the company’s Vice President for Asia, Li Dan. The sides reviewed the current state of their cooperation and prospects for further development.

Particular attention was paid to the introduction of modern technologies in the oil and gas industry. Priority areas included field management, geophysical research, digitalization of production processes, the use of artificial intelligence, modeling and geological data management.

The companies also discussed proposals from Schlumberger and opportunities for their further consideration and implementation on mutually beneficial terms.

During the meeting, the sides expressed their readiness to continue joint work on technological solutions, improving production efficiency and enhancing geological exploration.

Sanginov emphasized the importance of improving the practical effectiveness of cooperation, attracting advanced technologies and effectively implementing existing projects.

Following the talks, Uzbekneftegaz and Schlumberger agreed to strengthen cooperation, continue discussions on promising areas and coordinate further practical steps.
