Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and Jordan discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in culture and education during a working visit to Jordan by Azizbek Mannopov, First Deputy Chairman of the Cultural and Arts Development Foundation of Uzbekistan. The foundation said.
During a series of meetings in Amman with representatives of Jordanian state and cultural institutions, Mannopov met with Lama Al-Nabulsi, Director of the Office of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, and Inam Barishi, Director General of the Jordan River Foundation.
The sides discussed prospects for developing cultural and educational initiatives between the two countries. Particular attention was paid to expanding professional exchanges and the possible implementation of joint projects in culture and education.
At a meeting with Lina Bakkar, Deputy Director General of Jordan’s Department of Antiquities, the sides discussed the preservation and study of cultural heritage. They also exchanged views on professional cooperation and experience-sharing among specialists in relevant fields.
Another meeting was held with the leadership of Jordan’s National Centre for Culture and Arts.
The participants discussed opportunities to launch joint cultural and educational programmes, develop professional exchanges and strengthen cooperation between cultural institutions in Uzbekistan and Jordan.
The talks were part of the working visit by a representative of the Cultural and Arts Development Foundation of Uzbekistan to Jordan, aimed at developing contacts with the country’s cultural and state institutions.
