Uzbekneftegaz Explores Procurement of 5 Honghua Drilling Rigs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — State-owned energy company Uzbekneftegaz has held discussions with Chinese manufacturer Honghua Group regarding the potential acquisition of five automated drilling rigs to modernize its technical fleet.

The meeting with Honghua representatives focused on enhancing drilling efficiency, introducing modern machinery, and upgrading the company's operational equipment.

The parties evaluated the purchase of four ZJ70 model automated drilling rigs and one ZJ90 model rig.

According to Uzbekneftegaz, incorporating these advanced rigs will enable the deployment of modern drilling technologies, increase operational productivity, and accelerate the commissioning of new oil and gas wells.

Negotiations also covered optimizing supply costs, improving the economic efficiency of the potential contract, and expanding bilateral cooperation on mutually beneficial terms.
