Uzbek Companies Expand Cooperation With Russian Regions

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Small Business and Business Circles Association held business meetings in Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, and Samara Region with the assistance of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan, the Dunyo news agency reported.

Business forums involving more than 100 Uzbek enterprises and about 200 Russian companies were held as part of the visit.

Participants discussed expanding industrial cooperation, product localization, export development, and launching new joint projects.

Exhibitions of Uzbek products and bilateral B2B negotiations were also organized for entrepreneurs. Following the meetings, Uzbek companies signed export contracts with Russian partners and reached agreements on opening trading houses and implementing joint projects.

Cooperation agreements were signed separately between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and regional chambers of commerce and industry of Russia.

The documents provide for the development of trade and economic ties and the expansion of opportunities for exporting Uzbek products to the Russian market.
