Uzbekistan Discusses New Projects With Chinese Firms
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Ilzat Kasimov held a meeting on 12 August 2026 with executives of major Chinese companies to discuss prospects for implementing joint investment projects, according to the ministry's press service.
Representatives of Sichuan Hebang Investment Group, China Feihe Limited, YEMA Group, Zhejiang ZHINK Group, and Beijing Century Beking Furniture attended the meeting. The companies operate in mining, chemical processing, agriculture, livestock farming, dairy and food production, PET materials, textiles, and furniture manufacturing.
Information on Uzbekistan's investment potential was presented to the Chinese companies. The parties focused primarily on opportunities for joint projects in field development, deep processing of mineral raw materials, and chemical manufacturing.
Prospects for establishing the production of powdered milk and other dairy products in Uzbekistan were discussed separately.
Following the meeting, the sides agreed to continue joint work on prospective projects.
Detailed elaboration of these initiatives will be conducted alongside relevant ministries and agencies prior to practical implementation.
