Uzbekneftegaz, CCDC Expand Strategic Energy Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation from Uzbekneftegaz, led by Chairman of the Management Board Abdulgani Sanginov, began a working visit to China with talks with the management of CCDC, a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). The parties discussed the development of their strategic partnership, the implementation of joint projects and the further expansion of cooperation in the oil and gas sector.
During the meeting, the participants reviewed ways to accelerate the implementation of joint investment projects and identified priority areas for future cooperation. They noted that cooperation between Uzbekneftegaz and Chinese companies has continued to develop in line with efforts to strengthen business ties between the two countries.
The parties said a number of meetings with CNPC management had taken place since the beginning of the year, resulting in agreements aimed at further developing the partnership. Their cooperation currently covers import contracts, service agreements and joint investment projects.
One of the key topics discussed was the response to the emergency situation at the M-25 field. The participants reviewed the technical and organisational aspects of the project, as well as measures to accelerate work in line with the approved schedule. The parties also reaffirmed their commitment to fulfilling the financial obligations under existing agreements in a timely and complete manner.
During the visit, the delegation was presented with CCDC's digital and intelligent solutions for supporting oil and gas engineering operations. The Chinese company demonstrated an automated drilling system, a real-time production monitoring and management platform, and intelligent technologies for monitoring compliance with industrial safety and labour discipline requirements.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their interest in further strengthening their strategic partnership, expanding high-tech joint projects and introducing modern digital solutions to improve production efficiency and advance the digitalisation of drilling operations.
