Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The number of motor vehicles registered to individuals in Uzbekistan reached 4,982,516 as of 1 July 2026, up 79,416 vehicles, or about 1.6%, from 1 April, according to the National Statistics Committee.

Passenger cars accounted for the majority of privately registered vehicles, with 4,618,719 units, or 92.7% of the total.

Individuals also owned 343,375 trucks, 7,508 minibuses, 7,128 special-purpose vehicles and 5,786 buses.

Tashkent had the highest number of vehicles registered to individuals, at 637,706. Ferghana region ranked second with 573,472 vehicles, followed by Samarkand region with 563,072. Tashkent region had 476,148 registered vehicles.

The lowest number of privately registered vehicles was recorded in Syrdarya region, at 110,122. It was followed by Jizzakh region with 145,392 vehicles and Navoi region with 156,745.

Overall, the number of vehicles registered to individuals increased from 4,903,100 on 1 April 2026 to 4,982,516 on 1 July. The increase amounted to 79,416 vehicles.
