Uzbekistan Wins 6 Medals at WT Taekwondo World Champs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The WT World Taekwondo Championships for youth concluded in the capital with a historic result for the Uzbekistan national team. Around 1,000 athletes from 115 countries participated in the tournament, with Uzbekistan finishing among the top three teams in the overall standings.

The Uzbekistan team ended the competition with a total of six medals: three gold, two silver, and one bronze. This marks the best result in the country’s history at World Taekwondo championships.

Gold medals were won by Yoshinbek Odilov in the under-48 kg category, Asadbek Samandarov in the under-51 kg category, and Mohidil Uktamjonova in the under-63 kg category.

Silver medals went to Ayyubkhan Nabiev in the under-68 kg category and Alisher Pak in the over-78 kg category. The bronze medal was secured by Shokhzhahon Kholmurodov in the under-45 kg category.

It is also noted that the Uzbekistan men’s team scored 405 points, taking first place in terms of total points, confirming the high level of athlete preparation and the steady development of the country’s taekwondo system.
